Honey Pepper Sausage


Makes 6 servings


  • 6 Bar-S Hot Sausage Links
  • 6 French sandwich rolls
  • 1 large green bell pepper, julienne cut
  • 1 large red bell pepper, julienne cut
  • 1 large yellow bell pepper, julienne cut
  • 1 large orange bell pepper, julienne cut
  • 2 medium white onions, julienne cut
  • ½ cup pure honey
  • ½ cup butter


  1. Butter the inside of each sandwich roll; set aside.
  2. Glaze each sausage link with honey, using a pastry brush.
  3. Grill the sausage links for 10-12 minutes on medium heat, rotating and glazing every 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the bell peppers and onions into a sealed foil pouch.
  5. Place the foil pouch on the grill for 15-20 minutes; flip the pouch after 10-12 minutes.
  6. Once the vegetables and links are removed from the grill, place the sandwich rolls on the grill, buttered side down; grill for 3-5 minutes on high heat.
  7. Add a link to each roll.
  8. Top off each link with a helping of bell peppers and onion.
  9. Serve as a main entrée with your favorite sides.
