Bacon Swiss Avocado Burgers



  • 8 slices of Bar-S Classic Bacon

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for the grill)
  • 4 slices Swiss chees
  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted)


  • Thinly sliced ripe tomato
  • Thinly sliced red onion
  • Sliced ripe avocado
  • Boston lettuce leaves


  1. Preheat grill on medium-high heat.
  2. In a skillet, cook the Bar-S Classic Bacon over medium-low heat until crisp (6-7 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, mix up the ground beef, Worcestershire, hot sauce, thyme, salt and pepper.
  4. Using your hands (don't be afraid to get messy), shape the meaty mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

  5. Before you grill the burgers, oil the grill grate well. Place the burgers and buns on the grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until meat is desired temperature and buns are desired toastiness.
  6. In the last minute of grilling, melt the cheese on the burgers.
  7. Serve burgers on toasted buns, top with the Bar-S Classic Bacon, and garnish as you please with tomato, onion, avocado, and lettuce. Enjoy!!
